Located in Harnett County NC, between Coats, Angier and Buies Creek, Starting Point Stables has been in business under the same owner at this location since 2001.

We offer a down-to-earth and family friendly atmosphere. Some of us show, some of us trail ride, but we all love the time we spend with our horses and other riders who exhibit good sportsmanship.

Currently we offer self-care and partial care stall boarding to responsible and friendly horse owners. We also offer discounted rate miniature horse and small pony boarding.

We accept all breeds and disciplines with the only expectations being horse owners are willing to be good sportsmen and responsible caretakers of their equines (and no stallions).

Offering riding lessons for beginners up through intermediate levels our focus is on the balanced seat, versatility horse training, and being an effective all around horseman.

Instruction is given in a positive but ‘matter-of-fact’ way so that students learn to become independent thinkers and problem solvers in the sport horse and working horse disciplines.
